Since its inception from 1997, the department strives to impart knowledge and software skills to the students. The faculty members are well trained with exemplary skills.
The department has fully equipped laboratories with more than 350 computers and 7 servers being used in Programming Language lab, RDBMS lab, Multimedia lab, Linux lab and Internet lab having RF internet connectivity with 1Mbps bandwidth. Internet lab is open all the 24 hours, enabling internet access to all the students & faculties
Our students have formed Software Professionals Association and organize lectures of eminent software professionals on E-Com, .net, Linux, etc. The association conducted National Level Technical Symposium
PROMPT-03 and PROMPT-05 involved participation of students from various colleges in India.
The department conducted workshop on Case Tools, in which eminent professors from various colleges gave lectures and it also had practical sessions.
To enlighten our students with current trends in Information Technology, the department had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Samjass Technology.
Our students are being deputed to leading companies like M/s. Satyam Computers, Polaris, Wipro, TCS, CTS, etc. for doing live projects.
