The department has dedicated and experienced lecturers who are mostly Post Graduates. The faculties extend co-operation and guidance in training the students effectively.
The students are facilitated with well equiped laboratories.The department has Electrical Machines Lab, Electrical Circuits Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Measurement and Instrumentation Lab, Control System Lab, Power System Simulation Lab.
Our students have formed the Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and organized various seminars, lectures, etc.
The association conducted a National Level Technical Symposium

HAWK Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a company involved in Embedded Systems & Networking, is providing training in micro controller programming, Computer Networking to our students. Also the company supports R & D activity in the area of Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation based Inverters.
This department has signed a lot of Memorandum of Understanding with industries to give an industrial exposure to students.
Our students are provided Vacational Training at TNEB, ICF, All India Radio, BHEL,BSNL, Phoenix pop & Paper public Company Ltd., Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd., North Chennai Thermal Power Station, Southern Railway, Vishakapatnam Steel Plant and Madras Fertilizers Ltd.
