Chemical Engineering was started during the year 1994-1995. The department has adequate number of experienced and highly qualified faculty members. The department caters to the needs in all the areas of upcoming chemical engineering activity
The students are availed well eqipped laboratories.The department has Fluid Mechanics Lab, Mechanical Operation Lab, Heat Transfer Lab, Mass Transfer Lab, Design Lab, Chemical Reaction Engineering Lab and Process Control Lab
The Department regularly organizes lectures and hosts several National Level Technical Symposia and seminars.
The association had enthusiastically and successfully conducted National Level Technical Symposiums EXTRACT 2001 and EXTRACT 2002 and the latest one EXTRACT 2005. Further they conducted guest lectures and arranged many industrial visits.
The Department has signed Memorandum of Understanding with CLRI, RVCE, F.C.I, CPCL, Resot & Training.
