The department of Automobile engineering was started in the year 1999. This department has well qualified and experienced faculties supported by well established laboratories and a department library.
The Department has Automotive engine lab, Automotive Chassis lab, Vehicle maintenance lab, Automotive electrical lab, Fuels and Lubricants lab, Two and Three wheeler lab and Automotive pollution and electronics.
The Automobile Engineering has a student’s chapter of
Society of Automotive Engineers, under the charge of Mr.S.Jai Chandar, Head of the Department of the Automobile Engineering Department.
The association is very active in organizing seminars, guest lectures and industrial visits.
The Association CRUISE-05 conducted A National Level Conference on Advances in Automotive Technology
The Department has signed Memorandum of Understanding with
Mars Cnc Technik Pvt Ltd., a company involved in Precision Injection Moulds & PDC for Automobile Products, Medical Products, Electronic& Electrical Products and Consumer Appliances, services and training in these areas.
