The Department of Information Technology was started in the year 1997 to inculcate the knowledge of IT students. The department is gifted with a dedicated team of experienced faculty members and a well equipped laboratory.
The department is proud of producing consistently very good results in the University examinations. The department has also guided a lot of students for competitive examinations like GRE, GATE, and GMAT. Guidance to students for Government Sponsored projects.
Encouraging the students for participating in Technical Paper Presentation organized by other colleges. And conducted National Level Conferences, Symposiums and Guest Lectures.
Our department has produced university rank holders - Ms.D.Shobana, 4th rank /Anna University and Ms.R.Lavanya, 21st rank /Anna University.
Laboratory Details
The Department has well-established laboratories with latest and well equipped software in all the laboratories. The Department has LAB1 (CASE Tools, Software Component, System software), LAB2 (Operating Systems, Networking, Multimedia, Object Oriented Programming, DBMS) and LAB3(Software Engineering, Visual Programming, Data Structure) LAB4(Micro processor).
